ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION LAWS & THE REAL ESTATE INVESTOR
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION LAWS & THE REAL ESTATE INVESTOR
Illegal immigration has been a hot topic here in Oklahoma especially with new law taking effect November 1, 2007.
Does the new law or any proposed legislation impact you and your real estate investing?
Does the new law or any proposed legislation impact you and your real estate investing?
Many OKC REIA members have voiced concerns about the new law, if & how it may impact real estate investments for landlords, note & land contract holders and the market in general. Perhaps of more concern is the proposed legislation that could include SEIZURE OF PROPERTY, including vehicles OR HOMES, when used to transport or house illegal immigrants.
On Thursday, December 13 at the OKC REIA Monthly Main Meeting, we will be hosting Oklahoma State Representatives Randy McDaniel (Republican) for District 83 (OKC/Edmond) and Al Lindley (Democrat) for District 93 (OKC) for an informational session on what the new (and proposed) laws could mean to Oklahoma real estate investors. Both of these gentleman were actively involved in the formation of the anti-illegal immigration legislation.
The meeting will be moderated by OKC REIA Librarian Paul Roden. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING A QUESTION, please contact any Board Member via the website or contact Paul via email at admin@ibuycrackhouses.com
